Redesigning HQZen’s Landing Page to Drive More Engagement

This case study showcases how strategic UX design improvements can effectively enhance user engagement and align with business objectives, ultimately strengthening HQZen’s market presence and user satisfaction.

Overview

HQZen is an ecosystem of tools offering management solutions for executives and job applicants alike, sought to enhance its landing page to better convey its unique value propositions to users and potential investors. As the UX Designer on the project, the goal was to streamline the user experience and improve the overall impression of the platform through refined design and messaging.

Research and Analysis

The process began with a comparative analysis of similar products and platforms to identify effective UX strategies.


Since AI is a popular trend currently, it's clear that these sites are using some kind of AI technology to make their products better in terms of market value and overall marketability.

Aside from that, showcasing user interface screenshots and providing a clear FAQs section improves overall user understanding, similar to the approach of some of these sites currently around.

In terms of personas, two primary user personas were defined: executives seeking management tools and applicants exploring job opportunities, guiding the design process towards a dual-focused approach.

Design Process

Utilizing tools such as Excalidraw for low-fidelity wireframes and Figma for high-fidelity UI design, the initial designs focused on structuring the landing page to prioritize clarity and engagement.

Feedback sessions with stakeholders and cross-functional teams ensured a user-centered approach, refining layouts and content to effectively showcase HQZen’s features without overwhelming users.

Implementation and Testing

After a thorough design handoff and collaboration with development teams, the designs were implemented using VueJS and SaSS to maintain consistency and responsiveness across various browsers and devices.

Extensive testing confirmed the design’s adaptability and functionality, ensuring a seamless user experience on desktops, tablets, and mobile phones.

Final Outcome

The redesigned landing page successfully simplified the presentation of HQZen’s features while enhancing clarity and user engagement. By aligning visuals and copy with user needs and business goals, the platform now offers a more intuitive and informative introduction to both executives and applicants, positively impacting user perception and retention.

Reflection and Lessons Learned

Through this project, the designer gained insights into effective storytelling in product presentation and the importance of staying updated with technological trends. Key takeaways included the value of thorough research and the refinement of low-fidelity wireframes to streamline the design process and avoid unnecessary iterations.
